Gravatar This schmuck has got to go.

But Jonathan, did you do posts similar to this on Ney, Cunninham, Delay, etc., etc., etc.?

Gravatar Oh, sorry, and btw - top of the morning, all things aside, you devilishly handsome guy. If I was younger, and not married...well lets just say that politics, and eating crackers in bed, wouldn't be an issue.

Gravatar But Jonathan, did you do posts similar to this on Ney, Cunninham, Delay, etc., etc., etc.?

Kitty, I don't know that I did posts on those guys, but I have on numerous occasions blasted the corruption levels of Ney and Cunningham. I do recall, though, seeing plenty of articles about Ney and Cunningham, and every single one of them mentioned that they were Republicans (which they should have, of course...just as the NYT should have mentioned this guy's party).

As far as DeLay, I always thought he was an obnoxious heavy-handed blowhard. But what did he do that was comparable to this NY Dem?

Gravatar If I was younger, and not married...well lets just say that politics, and eating crackers in bed, wouldn't be an issue.

Duly noted, and thanks again!

Gravatar Jon what do you expect from a state that will elect Shrillary as senator even though she was a resident of Arkansas? And the story hasn't been on CBS, NBC, or ABC yet you say?

Gravatar Sidebar on tnjack's comment:

In 2002, Elizabeth Dole and hubby Bob moved from Kansas to Dole's home state of NC, so she could run for the Senate. Then-DNC Chief Terry McAwful was very critical of Dole, saying that she shouldn't be allowed to do that.

John Gibson on FNC called McAwful out on it, asking him how it was any different than what Shrillary did in 2000 in NY? McAwful apparently hadn't thought it through before going on the air, because all he could say was "OH, John, that's not the same and you know it."

Gibson replied thusly (and I'm paraphrasing): "You're right, Terry. Unlike Hillary, Dole is at least from the state she's trying to represent. She actually was born here and grew up here. It's not like she just picked a state to go represent, despite having no ties to that state."

But I digress...

Gravatar He's a lib. Like anyone expected him to have any scruples?

Gravatar So what's new? The democrats and their cohorts in the MSM faithfully lie, distort or just plain omit the facts.

In my opinion, one of the republican partys biggest faults is not fighting this massive unreporting and misinformation campaign. Many people never double check the information the see, read or hear and it shows at election time.

Gravatar In fact Twitty, I personally DID do a story on Cunningham, because as he was my rep, it was relevant. And he was a scum sucking poop head.

"I'm sure had he been a Republican, the story would have neglected to mention that as well, right?" Here your sarcasm is well placed, as we know it would be front page news.

Nope, you're right, no liberal bias there.

Gravatar Too bad about Cunningham though. He flew F-4s in Vietnam and shot down North Vietnams top ace. I use to watch shows on the History Channel about his engagements. Haven't seen any lately ......

Gravatar I must have missed Gibson smooshing that guy. Darwin is right, the Repubs should be on the offensive in the media war.

Gravatar More thievery from the Democrats?

Gravatar jenn...you're not quoteing me, are you? Because I never said "I'm sure had he been..." etc.

So Jenn, you did one whole post on Cunninham?

And yes, what Delay did was worse, because he tried to institutionalize and legalize corruption.

Gravatar jenn...you're not quoteing me, are you? Because I never said "I'm sure had he been..."

Kitty, I said that. In the post.

And yes, what Delay did was worse, because he tried to institutionalize and legalize corruption.

Come again? How so?

Gravatar Re: Delay, I simply refer you to the Faux News Archives, and the public court documents in Texas. The man is under indictment, for goodness sakes, and it's no witch hunt.

As for the quote, it wouldn't be the first or last time I was confused, and I know that's one thing both you and Jenn will agree with.

Anyway, the guy is going to jail, if convicted, and rightly so. We dems don't want him. You guys can have him. Maybe he'll experience a "religious conversion" while in jail? (Yuck.)

He's not worthy of the mantle of democrat.

Gravatar "Come again? How so?"

I'd like to hear that myself, but I know by now we'll never get that reply.

Gravatar "The man is under indictment, for goodness sakes, and it's no witch hunt."

Ummm .... the prosecutor sat EIGHT grand juries until he got the result he wanted. The previous seven couldn't find anything that warranted an indictment.

Phew ... for a moment there I thought my head was gonna pop. Thank goodness I'm wearing my patented mudkitty inspired cranial content retention device.

Gravatar When you steal, you automatically get thrown out of the liberal club. You can call yourself a liberal all you want, and you Darwin can call them left 'till he's blue in the face, but in reality, if you're steal, you've betrayed the liberal ideal. You're out of the club.

We don't want him. You can have him.

Gravatar Hey?

Gravatar Sorry for the delay in letting comments through. I'm out of town today, and this is the first time I've been able to get to a PC. I'll be commenting more this evening.

So if anyone's comments don't appear for hours, don't worry: I'll let them through eventually!

Gravatar "I'm out of town today"

Hope it's for pleasure and you're having a good time.

Gravatar Actually Darwin, it was 3 grand juries who met 8 times. It's very comman.

Gravatar "Actually Darwin, it was 3 grand juries who met 8 times. It's very comman."

Hmmmm ... I've seen numbers ranging from six to eight grand juries. It took THREE years to finally force something out of them. It's also not very common.

Even one of your lunatic leftie web sites prints eight. In either case, your wrong as always.

mudkitty "

Was that fellow that used to be involved with national security thingees and accidentally put TOP SECRET papers in his underwear before shredding them at his home a Democrat?

Gravatar They quoted Delay as saying that, but Delay is a liar. And you misrepresented the post.

Gravatar When you steal, you automatically get thrown out of the liberal club.

As Anonymous pointed out, Sandy Burglar is still a liberal. As is Al Franken and Co., who stole from the charity for Air America. I've yet to see them lose their liberal credentials.

Gravatar Sandy Burger had a lot of papers mixed up together, and the "in his pants and socks" thing turned out to be just another rightwing, smearjob, urban myth.

Gravatar Sandy Burger had a lot of papers mixed up together, and the "in his pants and socks" thing turned out to be just another rightwing, smearjob, urban myth.

Yeah, his admission to it must have been part of that Vast Right Wing Conspiracy thingy!

You just may be the first hack I've seen that has actually (and pitifully, I might add) attempted to defend Sandy "Pants" Burglar.

But oh, you guys disown "thieves", right?

Gravatar Would it be considered "theft" when the previous administration left the White House and "souveneirs" were lifted off the walls of the White House and Air Force One and HMX-1?

Gravatar Jonathan, read the Bush Justice Departments own final report on the Sandy Burger incident. I beg you to.

You're a writer, surely you've accidentally thrown out something important with the recycling or something? (Right now I'm looking for the ticket I got last week, that I haven't told my husband about yet...) Well, that's what the Bush Justice department themselves say it amounted to. It was stupid, it was sloppy, I'll grant you that.

The socks and pants stuff was a lie. Just a flat out rightwing lie.

Gravatar Jonathan, read the Bush Justice Departments own final report on the Sandy Burger incident. I beg you to.

So the DOJ couldn't prove any concerted effort on Burglar's part. Then again, Marcia Clark couldn't convince a jury that OJ was guilty. Therefore, OJ AND Sandy were innocent. Right?

ou're a writer, surely you've accidentally thrown out something important with the recycling or something?

Yep. If I had a nickel for every time I tried to conceal damning national security documents that implicated me and my boss and "accidentally" stuffed them in my socks and pants, I'd...uh, not even have a nickel.

Link here.

"Law enforcement sources said archive staff members told FBI agents they saw Berger placing items in his jacket and pants, and one archive staffer told agents that Berger also placed something in his socks.
...
"What information could be so embarrassing that a man with decades of experience in handling classified documents would risk being caught pilfering our nation's most sensitive secrets? Did these documents detail simple negligence, or did they contain something more sinister?" Hastert said in a statement.

Berger regrets 'sloppiness'
One Berger associate said Berger acknowledges placing his handwritten notes into his pants pockets, and perhaps into his jacket as well.

National Archives policy requires that if someone reviews classified documents and wants to take out handwritten notes, those notes must first be cleared by archivists."

Yeah. those damned "rightwing" archives workers and law enforcement personnel!

Kitty, I would submit that your speeding ticket isn't exactly comparable to 9/11 documents, but that's just me.

Gravatar Still, I can't find it, damn it. And it was making an illegal left turn - I would never speed - not at my age anyway.

Gravatar And it was making an illegal left turn

Rather presumptuous of me to assume it was speeding. My bad.

Hey, does anyone see the humor in a leftist getting in trouble for making an illegal left turn?
