I dont agree with the politics of t his website, but this is a great thing you are doing posting these clips of the oscars. this needs to start happening with all television, media can only be open and free only when it is no longer controlled.

Finally, somebody comments on the obvious! Yes, I think Dustin was drunk. I've been searching Oscar news and no one seems to be stating the obvious. Why the silence? Is there a double standard for male actors? Imagine if it had been Barbra who had acted drunk... I also seem to remember that Elizabeth Taylor had an incident of presenting while under the influence...Am I remmbering correctly?

Chris rock dropped it pretty low and hard...knocking a list of actors (notably Toby McGuire) and putting a select few on a pedestal. Why is Clint Eastwood any better than Toby? I think the box office results (Spider-Man 2 at #8 in all time domestic grosses at box office) show otherwise. Hilary Swank acted well but Clint Eastwood was hardly the great actor/directory in the movie Rock made him out to be.
Thx for posting these...

Dan i beg to differ. The reason why that movie made so much is it was made off of a comic book, it wasn't anything original. How can you even put Unforgiven and Spiderman in the same category.

I don't think Dustin was drunk, I think Barbra and him were just in character. If I remember correctly, Barbra referred to Dustin as "Bernie" during their sketch, the character Dustin Hoffman played in "Meet the Fockers".

The biggest story of Oscar night was, of course, the "i'm not gonna bash President Bush" bash of President Bush. Chris Rock's analogy of the War in Iraq with Gap vs. Banana Republic could be extended further if it were to include the following key story facts:
(1) the entire roster of stores at the mall all were in agreement that Banana Republic had toxic tank tops and had passed 17 mall-wide resolutions stating to such
(2) the management of Banana Republic was actively murdering its employees
(3) the Banana Republic was, on multiple occassions over 30 years, threatening, attacking and destroying the neighboring stores in the mall and even some on the far other side of the mall.

I thought having Beyonce sing the Phantom song was a horrible idea!! She already sang 2 other sings. Besides- Mimi Driver was way better at singing it, and IT WAS HER SONG. Why did they give it to Beyonce? There was no reason to. I heard Driver was absolutely crushed.

thanks for posting the clips! I LOVED drunky Dustin and there was no question about it in my mind. I work at a studio in hollywood where he showed up and did an interview drunk too. and it's not a gender double standard... he's just very likable and can get away with it.
thought chris rock was weak though. he'll never be back

BBooooorrriiinnnggg i mean these stupid award shows are getting to be monotenous they only give awards these days for the amount of liberal left-wing propeganda they can get out of them no longer for artistic merrit, i,ll bet if they had made GONE WITH THE WIND today they would not even consiter it for a award becuase its too patritotic and just did not even consiter THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST becuase its too conservative they just award it to junk like MILLION DOLLAR BABY and SIDEWAYS
