You mean the musicians on my playlist, Beth? I could be wrong, but I think you might like the Glands. (They're a psychedelic-y pop band--really cool guys, I might add--whose eponymous album has been ranked one of the ten best Athens, GA albums of all time, and rightly so.) There's one track of theirs called "When I Laugh" on epitonic.
Tim, did you get into Sigur Ros by seeing them live? A ton of people I know swear by them, but I haven't managed to get sucked in yet. I ask because sometimes it's a live show that etches a band into one's soul forever...
Never seen Sigur Ros but would like to. Beth saw a video on telly and said how brilliant they were, so in our house, she takes the credit for discovering them. If you like swirly goth era The Cure, combined with the way Radiohead enjoy messing with electronic sounds, I'd recommend the first album. It's like listening to trendy monks.
