Hi! You can use needlepoint canvas (covered with fabric) as a stiff insert, thin masonite (dresser drawer bottom wooden material) also covered in fabric, or even plexiglas. You can buy large sheets about 18" x 24" and places like Home Depot or Lowes will cut them for you. I love using that compared to the other options. Good luck!
