Gravatar That's really interesting. I'm glad they're happy, but your bedroom must be so full of kennels that there's hardly room for you!

When our late dog was a pup, we shut him in the kitchen at night, where the floor could be easily cleaned. He cried and howled. After a few nights, we gave up and left the door open to the hallway. He stayed in his basket in the kitchen, but didn't howl any more. He just didn't care to be shut in.

Gravatar When I come visit I might have to sleep in the Cairo den with him.

But seriously, I hear doggies really like to have a place of their own like that.

Gravatar Z - We are thinking of rearranging the furniture. It's kind of ridiculous in there right now.

J - I have to admit Cairo's den is quite comfortable. He doesn't see the "cage" aspect of it the way we do, I think.

Gravatar Gigi loves her "den". The door is always open and she prefers it to other places. It's her's. Tuck needs his crate - if not, the house is destroyed while we're gone. They do like having their own space. Biscuit just gets the couch. She's special, small and old.

Gravatar wish my girl liked her kennel. she's become madam houdini. she's so used to being loose, but now with me back to work, she's unhappy, though her kennel is outside and she has a doghouse and two quilts (yes, two quilts)

think your dogs could talk to her?
