The dollar a day dress program never highlighted the diffrence between what is paid to the third world workers and what is paid in the shops, the western consumer. Where is the money difference, who benefits and how is the the NGOs attacking this problem.
By reducingthe western worlds farmers living how will this benefit the third worlds farmers will they get any more money or will the middle men just make more profit, none of this was exploredinthe programme. Finally will these design students now change their attitude and when purchasing textiles insist on fair prices to these peolpe?
