"High & Mighty: The Dangerous Rise of the SUV" (good book) has a whole chapter dedicated to Bill Ford Jr. ("The Green Prince", as they call him).

It seems that the explorer/firestone fiasco is what kept him from fufilling most of his environmental promises, and maybe now that it's a bit behind we'll see his influence start to come through again. Who knows?

But in the meantime, lets be cautious.
