I've done this kind of survey before. It is difficult to get a "cup" of fair trade there except once a month. However, in the US, you can almost always (9 times out of 10, and I used to do this daily) get them to french-press you a 1/4 pound for about $3. This gets you about 4 cups for coffee for the price of 1.5, although it takes slighly longer to do.
