I have a bit of a problem with "evangelical environmentalists" because their newfound calling seems to regularly supersede the Great Commission. However, after some light reading that uncovered the socialist origins of the National Council of Churches, I am no longer surprised. I pray that the Christian community will one day regain its focus.

If you take a look at this video and writings about evangelical environmentalists, it looks to me like they 1)regularly include witness/spreading the faith in their discussions on environmentalism, and 2) see "creation care" as a tenet of the faith they're commissioned to spread. Not taking the socialism bait anymore...
