It looks really cute, but I'd be worried about the handles as well. I have that same fear with felting. As well as the fear of not knowing what you're really getting until the last minute. That terrifies me with the whole felting process. I think yours was a great success.
When we woke up this morning, it was really cold. See your breath cold. It makes me sad...

That's a great pattern and you were smart to use the zippered bag. I agree that the handles are a bit wimpy.
I loved "The art of keeping secrets" and turned it back into the library today.

The bag is SO pretty!
I've always worried about what felting might do to my washing machine!

I'd never thought of fall in terms of handbags, but I can see the wool as a good way to transition. Because it's so pretty! The straps on felted bags always make me worry, too -- they never seem substantial enough.

Gorgeous colors in the bag! For bag handles that seem insubstantial, I've made a bunch (many yards) of extra i-cord and felted it, then braided it with the existing handle and sewn it down. Makes a cool and very sturdy handle.

It looks very Fall/Winter! Chris has a good idea there for the handles. I may be borrowing it.

I made a ton of those bags several years ago. My niece still uses them.
And yeah for snow! Okay we don't get much here.
Pumpkin whiskey sounds interesting. I am in the mood for some pumpkin beer too.

Love the bag and am intrigued by the whiskey.
You always have something tempting for the eye or the palate.
