Gravatar Let us know all about it, Jeremy; I know I can't make the trip.

Gravatar Wish I would have known about this one earlier. I'd have read the book first, then attended the lecture. I'll read it anyway, because I certainly "doubt the usefulness of evolutionary theory". Thanks for the tip.

Gravatar I just called Barnes and Nobel and they have *one* copy of the book in stock here in Topeka! I'm going to pick it up tonight. Can't wait to dig into it....

Gravatar You're in for an interesting read, FtK. Evolution for Everyone is one of those books that shows how evolutionary thinking can help us to make sense of a lot of seemingly unrelated biological phenomena. Indeed, you are likely to agree with a lot of what he talks about, given your willingness to accept "microevolutionary" changes and a limited level of speciation.

In fact, as I recall, the book doesn't really get into much of the more contentious issues relating to the creation/evolution debate in the public sphere. It doesn't really address the question of human origins, for instance.

It really is Evolution for Everyone!

Gravatar We had guests at our house last night, so I was not able to go to Lawrence. I wonder if there is a summary of the presentation written by someone who went?

I'll take a look around the web and post a link if I find one.

Gravatar If only our leaders understoon evolution, all our problems would be solved.

Gravatar Old Coot-

Do you really think that all of our problems would be solved?

That's extremely naive. I have difficulty believing that anyone could be that credulous.

Or is your comment merely an attempt at sarcasm?

Gravatar Do you think ftk is really going to read it?
