Latino Issues :: A Conservative Blog

Wow, what a story! Isn't it scary that people like that Mechista you talked about are teaching in our schools?

Josue:

As a Mexican American conservative, I can tell you that the Mechista movement is a radical left, fringe movement. It is not representative of the thoughts or beliefs of most Mexican Americans.

Furthermore, I think you need to expand your horizon of contact among Mexicans beyond the radicals you have seen or the moonbats on TV. Most Mexican Americans do not believe in the Reconquista, the mythical Aztlan, or any other such nonsense.

You being a Cuban-American, I understand your reluctance to associate or be associated with Mexican-Americans. I have seen it too often while working in Miami, Atlanta, and New York. But I would like to extend a hand and ask you to expand your contact with Mexican-Americans. You'll find them different, but just as Latino as Cubans.

Josue, ditto to what Hendrik said.

Todos somos hermanos latinoamericanos. And the majority of us here, whether legal OR ILLEGAL do love America.

And you're using Michelle Malkin as a source? MICHELLE MALKIN!?

This woman needs to be exposed for what she is doing. She has significant clout, lots of people buy into her garbage and it is shameful!

She's all for racial profiling with the WAR ON TERROR, defended Japanese-Amercan internment camps, and even went as far as publishing the addresses of certain college students which backlashed against her and got her death threats in the process endangering the lives of her children and her husband.

Michelle Malkin disguises her "love of America" and "patriotism" by actually being a veiled racist. The great irony being that SHE herself is and looks like a minority, being of Filipino descent.

Does she expose the hatred and racism from the anti-illegal side? OF COURSE NOT. Only what is convenient to her one-sided point of view. This is not objective journalism for sure.

FOR SHAME! Josue, you really need to look further into this woman and stop buying into her crap.

She to me, is embarrassing.

Hendrik,

The Chicano movement, and the dreams of Atzatlanare basicly a movement born out of Americans of Mexican descent.

It is up to Mexicans to speak out if they do not want to be identified with these "fringe" groups.

You are right--I do not expect all Mexicans to be in agreement. But their image is certainly tainted. I appreicate your comments, as it is what should be happening with more Mexicans.

Josue
