LACK OF UNITY BY LATINO ORGANIZATIONS AND LEADERS.
I can't understand why latino organizations are so quiet on this. Here we had a latino role model, who had the highest post ever in US government. He was a "yes" man to his boss, and that's why he got in trouble. If he had been black, there would be some black organizations and black leaders out there speaking out on his behalf. That's what's wrong with our latino community. We show no unity out there. Another example: on 11/26/06 a group of men were shot 50 times by the police in Queens, NY. One of them was latino, and the rest were black. But only black political leaders spoke out about the incident. Latino leaders were nowhere to be heard.
