Gravatar Great stuff.

I had "I Don't Want To Be A soldier" on a free NME/Creation tape that I took on my first ever school trip and I listened to it constantly.

Gravatar Nice one bruv. The other cover that sent me mental was 'The Kid's Are Alright'. Can you find that and post it up? It was at the Oxford Venue in 1992/3 or 4. Can't remember. Oh what the Oxford years were. 10 minute version of Chelsea Girl? Oxford Apollo. Lovely..... : )

Gravatar And you're right on both accounts - it does need to played very loud, and I do love it.
Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gravatar I was at that 'secret' gig at the Jericho tail end of 1991, 17 December to be exact. It was allegedly to celebrate the 1000th band Mac had put on there. His band Arthur Turner's Lovechild opened playing their debut gig. Then Ride came on and the place was packed and mental. The tiny stage was full of amps. The band were tripping or something. They only played old songs, despite Going Blank Again due to come out. One of the best gigs ever.

Gravatar Many thanks for that post !!!!

Gravatar Great stuff Joe. Never got to see a secret gig, but me & Del did still some beer from their dressing room in Lyon..
