This is exactly what the "Freepers" can't stand...two intelligent adults making choices and children, much more adept and knowing, loving it. Way too much freedom. Too bad.

good idear; these kids are pre-sexual. it's not about anything, emotionally, for them besides this teacher that they like and her being happy. freepers--from desperation--have to make it about sex, which it's not for the kids.

i love it how two people in love are "perverting" children. and i'm still curious about this "agenda" we have as gay people. did i not get the handbook on the agenda i was supposed to get? someone's not doing their job.

It was a stupid, stupid thing to do. The ads running pro-8 specifically state that children will be indoctrinated and sure enough they are dragged to a wedding during school time by some fool to prove a point. If we expect to make gains through politics, we need to know how to play politics. 8 will win. And that is tragic.

Tex caught what I missed: I thought Andy was saying 'what would these kids think of being used against their teacher?' (since he said they were ultimately being used as pawns for the '...yes on prop. 8' ) a-holes.
his entry's a non sequitor. bitch, get some glasses.
he's not in Ca., doesn't know what the law does; i'd thought he was on the right side of this. wrong--see what happens when you give 'em the benefit of the doubt and don't consider the inconsistency internal to their argument?
Look, fucker: she's *their* teacher. They've been invited to the best day in her life, and they'll remember it for the rest of their lives. It won't make them gay, only grow up in a less fucked up world--despite your worst efforts to the contrary--if they already are.

The funniest thing? They talk like we spend all our time plotting to destroy the sanctity of man-on-woman marriage, that we spend our days and nights toiling in sleeper cells ready to pounce and... wreck their families.
Newsflash, dipshits: we don't really spend even one second thinking about you and your boring, pathetic lives. Seriously, if you could think about trading fucks with an insanely hot man or think about ruining heterosexual marriage, like, forever, what would you think about?
The stupidity of those people is fathomless.

chuck, you did not get your official "Gay Manual" (in which the Gay Agenda is Appendix D), because (according to our records here at Gay Central) you missed two episodes of "Will and Grace", in 2003 you wore brown slacks with a blue jacket, and you have not yet achieved 1000 sexual partners, nor have you rammed your homosexuality down any straight person's throat.
Kindly complete your requirements, get a note from Tim Gunn excusing your fashion faux, and resubmit your application to Gay Central. Once you have qualified, your Manual will be sent to you.
Ummm, if you can't wait til then, ask Sally Kern, Pat Robertson, Gary Bauer, or James Dobson (who claim to know what is the 'gay agenda') -- perhaps they will let you look at their copies.

Very cute and sweet. It annoys but doesn't surprise me that anyone would say, "Don't do that! It plays into the hands of our enemies!"
However, I do think it's tacky if nothing else to dress a first grader in a "Queer" t-shirt.

Um, I think people missed the boat on Andy's comment.
He's saying: have the kids make a video to explain how they enjoyed attending the wedding, and to show how upset they are that their attendance is being miss-used by the "Yes on 8" people.
Remember, we're the "No on 8" people.

to the person who so in appropriately and indecently implied that the couple would have the children back to demonstrate consummation of their love I say; don't sit in the seat of the scoffers as it says in the Bible, your heart and mind obviously went to the lowest denominator in what love is about.

In the 21st Century, we need SEXUAL TERRORISTS:
Very cute "French Passive" types who are politically-minded and slutty. Let them troll CRAIGSLIST, SILVER DADDIES, and similar websites, seducing all of these closeted married creeps who vote Republican and use news stories like this one to scare the ignorant.

I knew I was gay when I was seven years old, and it terrified me. Even then, it was clear that the world thought I was wrong. I wonder what my life might have been like if, at that age, I had attended my lovely teacher's wedding to her girlfriend. You know one of those kids, at least one, is already gay. I want that kid to grow up in a world far better than the one I grew up in. I want that kid to read in school one day about the people who wanted to deny us civil equality. I want her to be able to roll her eyes at them. She'll turn to her friends and say, 'What were those people thinking?'

Well it was a sweet gesture. Remember it was a parent that arranged the class trip as a surprise for a dedicated teacher.
I just wish that she had considered the implication. Must be one of those "no tv in our house" moms because if she had a tv, she would have seen the ad lying about teaching children about gay marriage.
We were winning until they started running those ads, with Gavin saying over and over "like it or not."

Ken, you mean like John B.'s saying (above) "In the 21st Century, we need SEXUAL TERRORISTS"?
I know what you're saying, J.B., but those're called spies. Even Will Ayers was a sabotuer: trying to break shit, not kill or maim anyone. That's the province of the Unabomber alone, as far as dometic activists go. Bad guys.
When we let the right pick the language we use, we play into their game.

What's awful is that is such a sweet and tender moment.
I chose to ignore the freepers part and pay attention to all those children who love their teacher no matter what and are supporting her.
Being gay isn't taught or learned, but hatred is. And thank God for places like San Francisco where such a sweet moment could happen. It gives me hope.

Joe, has the parent who suggested the visit to the teacher's wedding come forward? The timing of this event seems too convenient. I need to have some proof that this person wasn't a Yes On 8 supporter who decided to exploit the wedding to help the homophobes' cause.
