At least they want to keep it private...by flying the baby daddy to the cities to parade him in front of the sheeple...
Private my ass.

Private. Right. Which is why Mom and Daughter are on the cover of the NY Daily News with psycho boy McCain. Makes me want to listen to the Ramones. Oh, look, the war in Iran is about to begin. Fun!

I have to say that I greatly admire Obama for trying to keep his opponent's personal life out of public politics. It shows a level of respect rarely seen these days.
HOWEVER...
Palin's daughter is a blatant and radical discrediting of her mother's own policies. Palin wants to take the sex out of Sex Education, and teach abstinence only (which we KNOW hasn't worked for the past 8 years)...but her own underage daughter, not even out of highschool, is unmarried and pregnant. The hypocrisy is practically blinding, the irony - hilarious.
I agree that we shouldn't be attacking the child...but I see no reason we can't use the situation as a reason to call Palin's policies into question...
Ok, what I really meant was "slap her across the face with her own failed ideals."

It's a "private" matter, except when they want to tell other women what they can do with THEIR bodies.

Doesn't look like a private matter to me. Just like Regan's ballarina son. Just like how Chelsea wasn't off limits with her looks.
Just because you wish, say or want it doesn't make it so.
No one is off limits.

And no earmarks.
$27 million for a town with a population of around 8000.....that's a shitload of cash.
Guess those Republican lobbyists DO come in handy.

rankly, I want to be able to vote on whether Bristol should be able to marry Levi.
How sad that this girl could possibly be forced into a marriage for her mother's political gains. OR we celebrate that someone at 17 YEARS OLD found the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with.
Excited to be grandparents indeed.

RE: Pat
My mother married my father when she was 17...she's now 67, he's 69. They are still happily together after all these years and the raising of 4 kids...and 7 grandkids.
It can happen. It does happen.

Isn't this somewhat like lesbian Mary Cheney and partner Heather in a committed relationship having a baby...
well, it's okay if one of them is related to the vice-president?
This whole incident is showing how stupid we are to the world.
Nonetheless, yet another opportunity to show just how deceptive the Republicans are where living life "in creative ways" is okay for us, but not for the general population.
The global warming crisis worsens, the economy is still tanking, the war in Iraq continues...but America deals with a national soap opera.
I wonder what that boyfriend of Palin's daughter is going to be thinking and saying for the next 30 years when Palin's chances for VP explode in the next couple of weeks....

So we shouldn't bring political families into the mix? Maybe not, but John McCain thinks it’s fun.
"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno."

When McCain loses in November, that wedding will be off faster than her panties were five months ago. Of course, who knows when we'll find out...it'll be a "private family matter".

...either that or the White Trash Bad Boy will meet his end in a mysterious, tragic (a.k.a. convenient) oil-rig accident soon after the wedding, leaving the baby officially a "non-bastard" and the poor little girl a heroic, widowed, teenage mother.

I found it funny that they said Bristol 'chose to keep the baby".
If it were up to her mom, she wouldn't have had the "choice". She would have been forced to do so.
