I have to say that I greatly admire Obama for trying to keep his opponent's personal life out of public politics. It shows a level of respect rarely seen these days.
HOWEVER...
Palin's daughter is a blatant and radical discrediting of her mother's own policies. Palin wants to take the sex out of Sex Education, and teach abstinence only (which we KNOW hasn't worked for the past 8 years)...but her own underage daughter, not even out of highschool, is unmarried and pregnant. The hypocrisy is practically blinding, the irony - hilarious.
I agree that we shouldn't be attacking the child...but I see no reason we can't use the situation as a reason to call Palin's policies into question...

It's a "private" matter, except when they want to tell other women what they can do with THEIR bodies.

My mother married my father when she was 17...she's now 67, he's 69. They are still happily together after all these years and the raising of 4 kids...and 7 grandkids.

When McCain loses in November, that wedding will be off faster than her panties were five months ago. Of course, who knows when we'll find out...it'll be a "private family matter".

If it were up to her mom, she wouldn't have had the "choice". She would have been forced to do so.
