Also, if the media had been revealing McSame's travel schedule abroad in Afghanistan and in Iraq like they have been with Obama, you can bet the rightwing noise machine would all be a twitter with outrage at the evil liberal plot to get Psychogeezer killed.

Let's see...Republican candidate blames Democrat candidate for the mistakes that the Republican president has been responsible for? Oh yeah! That proves that McCain is stupid! And Obama never found those weapons of mass destruction and was the commander in chief that was too stubborn to try to get the really bad guy--Bin Laden--but took down Sadaam instead. Way to go, McCain, you just proved that you are not fit to lead the country. We don't need another arrogant insane president.

No, no. The Democrats are responsible for ALL that is wrong with this country today. After all, they HAVE had control of the House ans Senate for the last 4 years and things have only gone bad in the last 4 years.
Or so say the e-mails from my republican relatives.

I remember during one of the debates he was trying to come across as the green candidate. What a "flip-flopper." (I hate that term.)
I say blame the Canadians for the rise in our gas prices. After all our top source of crude oil, since 2001, has been Canada.

McCain is a big fucking liar.
Nobody is claiming that domestic drilling will make us energy-independent. Nobody.
I know this shouldn't be a surprise, but... jeez.

McCain's ads have been running the past month or so and did you know, that McCain broke with President George Bush's policies on global warming over 5 years ago?
I, had not known that.
McCain is desperate and grasping at straws.
Have some dignity Mr McCain.

Someone should just start a website with all his ads and clips, and put them together in a very disturbing way. Sell it as a pro-McCain site.

I think everyone should read the 2005 report to the US Department of Energy on peak oil. Peak oil and peak food WILL be the principal issue of the 2010s. The fact that neither candidate is talking about this and that the US, Europe and Canada hasn't implemented a WWII style mobilization effort to cope with this reality means that we are in for some very very tough years ahead. It's really no exaggeration to say that this is going to make the Great Depression look like a bump in the road.

If I ever sell this house, I'll try my best to put solar panels on the next house and a have a garden.
During WWII, our government encouraged people to have Victory Gardens. Why not now? Especially, with all of these salmonella and e-coli outbreaks.

hey sorry for the spam... but you know, just go sign the petition.
It has been fifteen long years since President Clinton signed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" into law. Fifteen long years later, it is eminently clear that it is a failed policy.
With your support, Congress could soon admit that too.
On Wednesday, July 23, the House of Representatives' subcommittee on Military Personnel will hold the first hearing on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," since its inception.
We need to tell Congress that it is unacceptable to allow the military to openly discriminate against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans. Please sign this petition hosted by the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and tell Congress how you feel.

I loved the end of the commercial when the Obamabots are chanting his name. I couldn't stop laughing. Seriously though, California has been offering incentives for about 10 years at least and theire solar and wind power is less than 1% of their energy. Japan and Germany have had gas prices of $10 or more and no one is complaining and crying about it. There's enough natural gas right now in our country to last 75 years. McCain is the only candidate talking about reducing carbon emissions as well as adding more nuclear energy. Obama won't even touch it.

We should end our dependence on OIL, PERIOD.
This would be great, but there's nothing on the horizon that takes the place of oil. None of the alternative fuels give us the same bang for the buck as oil.
And while politicians talk about fuel cell cars, the thing we should be talking about is the agricultural sector. We use 10 calories of oil to create 1 calorie of food. It's used in fertilizer, planting, harvesting, processing and transport. In many cases, there are no alternatives. You can't run heavy farm equipment and 18 wheeler trucks on fuel cell batteries. The end of oil may be the end of the food yields we are used to. I worry about what that will do to the poor.
Unfortunately we live in a "feel-good" culture where no one wants to give us any bad news, or news that means we will have to change our lifestyles. So nothing will be happen until the crisis is on us. The CBC has had segments on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J...h?
v=Jqg3P3wOV60 But I haven't seen it covered in U.S. media much.

Obama can now join "environmental whackos" as well as overweight people in Jeopardy Scapegoat category.
Haven't you heard? Fat people are to blame for the hikes in air fares, since they cause gargantuan airliners to waste so much fuel ferrying their fat butts around. Our local newspaper actually printed a letter with this astounding information -- don't know if they actually believed it or figured their readership could use a good laugh.

Do Republicans and other assorted retards really want oil fields in everyone's neighborhood? Or, oh that's right, domestic oil drilling unless it's in my backyard....
That being said, I'm not sure there needs to be a FEDERAL ban on domestic oil drilling -- why not let each state decide if it wants to have eyesores and potential environmental hazards due to drilling or other resource extraction? Each state should be vested with the ability to have its people/legislators make their own stupid decisions.

Also, much as this ad may look like it appeals to only the idiots... this is EXACTLY the kind of ad that will probably have the most impact on "swing" undecided voters. Doesn't matter if it has any basis in fact re: "energy independence" (a total myth).
