I'm a Filet-O-Fish guy. Although I've been itching to try that new chicken sandwich.
Although I'v always enjoyed a Whopper more, hooray for Mickey D's!
Those southern chicken sandwiches aren't bad, really...and I always loved McDonald's french fries (freedom fries, anyone?).
By coincidence I'm having a McD's breakfast right this minute.
Filet-o-fish for me too, or a whopper with cheese and bacon, but I haven't had either for a long, long time.
I wonder where the offspring of these American families is going to find a job now...

I worked at McD's in high school (it was the "cool" place to work back then in my small, rural, Minnesota town) and it's also where I had my first real big gay crush on a co-worker. He was SO cute! 
My metabolism doesn't allow me to eat at McD's or other fast food places any longer. Shoot, about all I can eat and not have to worry is water. Gettin' old is a bitch. Screw it, maybe I'll just go and have a nice, juicy quarter pounder and not worry about it. Hee, hee.
I almost never eat at McDs cause, well, it isn't healthy. However, I am grabbing up the kids and heading out for some fries today! With a comment to the manager that I am there to anti-boycott!
Now MacDs should be boycotted because of the unhealthy dishes they serve, not who serves them. WTF.
So how does one support McDonald's without actually eating their food?
The boycott is doomed to failure from the start. Even right-wing fundies won't participate if it's seriously inconvenient, and I'm pretty sure that a survey would show that a lot of the wingnuts' target audience (especially those with kids) rely heavily on McD's for sustenance.
It's the failed 1996 Disney boycott all over again; after 9 years of not putting a noticeable dent in Disney's business the AFA called it off in 2005, with a press release that tried to claim victory even though The Mouse is more gay-friendly than ever.
So how does one support McDonald's without actually eating their food?
Fly to Paris and order some wine at one of the McDonald's over there.

What the boycott is REALLY about is that McDonald's is taking a position that is contrary to that of the AFA. Had McDonald's supported the AFA position, there would be no boycott based on the company's "lack of neutrality". The AFA is full of shit but had to couch it in terms that would make them seem reasonable. Note to the AFA: NOTHING will make you seem like a reasonable organization. We will continue to speak out against you. We will also take advantage of every opportunity to expose your bigoty and hypocrisy.
I am going to buy a happy meal in support of gay rights.

I read "Fast food nation" and watched "Supersize me": I've boycotted MacDonalds for years. I don't mind being a gay trendsetter (because, let's face it, that's what we do) but I do disapprove of some of those who jump on my bandwagon.
dear lord, where will all these bible flogging evangelicals get their minimum daily requirement of fats and empty calories? a boycott of mcdonalds might be just the thing to melt the blubber from all those "righteous vessels" and assorted fat asses which make up the evangelical movement.
How easy will it be to claim a successful boycott in the middle of a recession? They're desperate to prove they have any influence left at all.

I was a vegetarian for about 10 years and gave it up. It's not so much I had a problem with eating meat, it's that I have a problem with the assembly line upbringing and killing of animals.
I have a problem with people eating plant products and never having gotten there hands dirty and grown a plant and harvested it. I have a problem with people eating meat and never having raised an animal and looked into their eyes before they slaughtered it.
After having recently seen this movie , "Knor: 110 Kilos in 25 weeks," I'm greatly diminishing the amount of meat I eat. I highly recommend this documentary.

I wasn't talking about the breakfast chicken sandwich, mwf...but the other one. It tastes a lot like a "Chick-fil-A" sandwich (if you have that franchise near you). I used to love those, but stopped buying them when I found out the company was owned by religious nuts.
Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying that it's great, just that it's pretty good for what they serve.
I wish I could stomach their food, but I'll have to pass. I have to stick to my guns that all fast food companies are against this planet's best interests. I'm glad that they employ gay people and support gay causes, but that doesn't make the way they run their business any more palatable to me.
As an employee at the Yavapai Lodge, Az. I stamped $1s w/ 'I grew hemp'--'cuz Big George did--and applaud the similar tactic. Go go go!

Hm. When I worked for McDick's, one of the junior managers(teen managers. pr thing) was fired for being gay. Only 5 years ago...think I'll pass on the big mac today.

I am so going to McDonald's. McDonald's is my travel safety meal. I eat McDonald's at airports all over the USA.
Try going to the AFA site and leaving a message for McDonald's that thanks the company for being gay-friendly. Then see if they put it up. Am I being naive?

I work a graveyard shift, and tomorrow (Sunday) morning I'll be happy to give the AFA a symbolic finger when I order a Sausage McMuffin.

I won't eat meals at McDonalds-- I'm on Weight Watchers, and most of their food is too many points, and not worth it. However, a soft serve vanilla cone is 3 WW points, which works out to something like 150 calories. Great on a 115 degree day here in Phoenix.

McDonald's isn't a "restaurant", their food is not healthy and most of their marketing philosophy epitomizes what's wrong with aggressive, search and penetrate U.S. capitalism. C'mon kids, it's a fucking hamburger, not a lifestyle and, frankly, even if they support GBLT rights, they still suck the life out of the working underclass, destroy the environment, and sadly symbolize U.S. culural imperialism globally.
