Sorry to see you go, John. I've enjoyed your ideas and insights, and your comments at my site have been valuable. I have the same feelings sometimes, and I often go a while without writing anything as a result. So just press on, and maybe you'll feel the itch to write more. We'd appreciate it.
Every once in awhile I dream of hanging a digital "gone fishin'" sign on my blog, and taking a loooong break.
Then I remember I don't enjoy fishing.
So what I do is just post a lot less for awhile.
And now a local blogger that I've just heard of hangs it up. Leave your archives alone so that I can at least enjoy them!

I'm bummed too but I can totally relate. I've had to cut my blogging (writing and reading) down a lot since starting a new shortterm job. I agree with Rob. Leave it here and blog when you feel like it. In the meantime, enjoy life!
