The Theological Ruminator

Things have been quiet here so I'll try and spice it up! Interesting story, but my theological perspective is such that even if I knew it was Josh I'd walk up and spit in his face. The only way I'd recognize him for who he was was if he walked up to me, grabbed me and shook me and said, "I'm Josh and you WILL listen to me play and I'll teach you to enjoy it." And then, even while I'm listening and learning, sometimes I still think of spitting on him but he would just keep playing and teaching. Of course, how Josh forces that makes the analogy break down, perhaps. Maybe he has a gun?

Yeah, well all analogies break down at some point.
I'm so wishy-washy on Calvinism still. I still go back and forth. I thought I was leaning more Calvinistic back a year or so ago, but I'm back in wishy-washy land now. So I'll refrain from debating your point. I'm so wishy washy I'd probably feel like arguing with you regardless of what angle you came at it!
Regardless, the point isn't to demonstrate how God gets our attention, but that we're often so busy we miss God. We have all "heard" God but choose to ignore him.

I saw your point. My point is that we don't want the beautiful music; we don't care who's making it.

Roy would be un-impressed with Josh Bell. He'd just ask him to play out-of-tune fiddle music instead.....

Hey, let's face it: I don't know who the heck Josh Bell is. I do remember a certain George Bell, who was a pretty good baseball player in his day.
And while I know of a fiddle I'm uncertain of this violin thing that John Mark mentions.
