Narrating a story in writing is something very new for me. I hope the blogosphere enjoys this story. The story is true although names have been changed to protect their owners identities, and to connect this story with Catch-22.
And Appleby acted exactly like Appleby.

And BTW this is only part one. I didn't get any better over the next 5 years and neither did the school. 8 years of being at war with your teachers makes for some interesting stories, very few of them inspiring.

Classic line of the posting: "There wasn't only one catch and it wasn't catch-22"
I got it!! Wow. I admire your ability to put it into writing. It's funny, I went to Public School and have very few memories at all about my teachers. You've just given another proof to my theory that Day School/Yeshiva is much more entertaining and life altering than the city sponsored alternative. Thanks!

Wow. You really captured what its like for kids in a private Jewish day school. Good job.

Just wanted to say hello

My son is starting school this year, and stories like this make me very nervous. I can see this happening to a lot of kids every time I go to visit his school. It is heartbreaking.

About your previous post on local ravs: See the back of the Aryea Kaplan Reader where he compiled a barrage of halachos concerning local ravs and similiar stuff.

Thanks. I will try to get a hold of it.
