Gravatar The preaching to the choir question, though often worth asking, isn't that clear to me in connection with the Widow Party, which seems among a number of radical modernist projects trying to generate the terms of the question itself (what means "preach" and who comprises/how does one comprise the "choir"). Speaking from the privileged position of being party to the production, I can say that the critique so leveled is pretty well stratified. Though Johannes may have hoodwinked me on that front!

Gravatar But to what end, exactly, Patrick? For the handful of people/poets in the audience, half tenured, the other half in search of? Masturbatory, and not to mention the over-production aesthetic of McSweeney/Goransson, where suffocation into submission seems the governing mode. If the critique is so leveled that it's "pretty well stratified," does this include bending the finger back on itself? It ain't evident here, at least to a dummy like me, one of the "choir."

Gravatar thanks you, I like
