i have seen far too many blogs i used to read killed by FB. i realize you're not doing this solely for my entertainment, but i do hope you keep it up.

there are things that blogging does that FBing does not do as well... like allowing you to put forth longer thoughts that are archived and easy to retrieve much later. old stuff on FB just tends to get buried. also, unlike FB, this site is open to all comers, whether they know you already or google their way here by accident. either way, there's less danger of it becoming an echo chamber reflecting the thoughts of the people you already know and pre-approve.
