I keep trying to remember my college civics classes - what form of government is it where those in power determine what you can eat, and when?

Or determine how much a company may pay its employees and executives?

I was born there, but have absolutely not missed it since I left sometime in the 60s.

Except perhaps for the French sourdough bread. But still, I can always go to Paris for that.
