Check the bio on Neil Abercrombie D-Hawaii. He was, and probably still is, a professor of the University of Hawaii. I was one of his students back in the '70's, and he beat out incumbent Patsy Mink, for the Hawaii Congressional seat. And he still represents the people of Hawaii.
He was considered a very radical and liberally minded person. But that's the kind of person we wanted to represent us, at that time. We needed a change in our repreentation to Congress, because the previous representatives were getting too comfortable.

A little word of advice or opinion, Don't engaged with the Republican neo-con Conservatives at Ed's or other sites......When you set up your campaign site....Put up a Ask Jay section....You control the debate and answers....Never go outside of your tuft as those idiots at Ed site with nip and bait you all day long on piss ant stuff that means nothing to a campaign...plus it takes up your time and energy....You got bigger game to hunt and those retarded idiots don't have pull with the voters anyway.... hope you understand that idiots like Sam and Bubba are paid neo-con thugs to do this all day long.
