If you would like my guess, Dole and Burr will side with the telecoms. That's the big business way, and past votes have shown them siding with big business. I think that if every citizen of NC told them to save Net Neutrality, they would still hug the Baby Bells.

I forgot to mention that I have seen or heard nothing about which side our own Senators, Dole and Burr are talking in this decision about the internet.
There is a list of Senators on the savetheinternet.com site and contact information for them.
Burr and Dole are listed as uncommitted.

What is interesting is that the Cable Company monopoly won the battle in North Carolina for deregulation, but lost the battle for maintaining a monopoly.
The telecom industry will begin selling cable in NC in 2006 (which is why many of us are receiving mail from TimeWarner trying to lock us in a 12 month contract).
Next utility that needs to be on the list for competitition is Duke Power. (but what would the Bush Energy lobbyists think?)
