Right now, I think Vern, Foley, and Tom Reynolds are looking for any friends they can find.

Seems odd that Vern beat 2 other Republicans in the primary, yet now they don't claim him to be their own. And are scared that he is now the face of their party in '06.

Let's hope that America remembers this in November, and remembers that a Republican led Congress approves a bill before Bush signs it...and remembers that Vern was close to becoming chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party in 2005
