Gravatar Good for you for doing this!!! I have an Assoc. Degree RN and would love some day to finish my BSN and go on to become a Nurse Practitioner... even if I never did anything more than I am doing now, just for my own satisfaction. Somehow life always seems to take other priorities over completing this schooling, but perhaps someday I will do this. I think it is awesome you are doing this!!!

Gravatar Thanks Lisa.. If it's what you want, then do it for yourself first! No matter how old we get, we can always learn new tricks!! Not that I'm old though, only 37.. hee hee

Gravatar I completely agree with you. Just finishing my ADRN right now - I put a link up to you. I'm at http://mediblogopathy.blogspot.com if you'd like to check it out. I'd love a reciprocal link from you if you get a chance. Thanks!

Gravatar Thanks for posting! You have to tell me how you made your site so great with the graphics!! The content is great too! I will put a link up today some time..

Gravatar I think that's great that you're getting your NP. I am graduating with my BSN - 9 more days and counting - after spending 11 years in Corporate America (my first degree is in Marketing). I may be following in your footsteps in a few years! There are plenty of people in various lines of work who are "stuck in a rut." Make sure they don't rub off on you! Good luck and take care...

Gravatar I hope you do get a chance to continue your education into the master's level. I too spent many years in the customer service industry before doing what I really wanted to do. I use that experience on a daily basis. Thanks for posting Marjorie!

Gravatar I came across your blog by accident and started reading from the beginning, so my comment is to a May 2005 post about why you were working towards your NP after just finishing your BSN. It was perfect timing for me to read this ... I am working towards my BSN with the desire to go on for my FNP. And I LOVE your reasons ... especially "I am a human sponge." I literally could have come up with your list myself.

Thanks so much for your blog!

Gravatar Amy, I'm glad to see that you are enjoying my blog. I look forward to more of your comments as you finish catching up!
