Health insurance in this country needs a MAJOR overhaul. My pet peeve for the week? As of Oct. 1st United won the Kidcare contract in our area, taking over from Staywell. And SERIOUSLY cutting reimbursements to physicians. Who are none too happy. Many of whom are dropping this insurance as a result. Leaving many kids without a pediatrician. Lovely.
Lisa, It's very difficult to find Medicaid providers to do specialty work as well. The reimbursement is too low to make it worth their whiles. We are having to send people to Tampa from way up here.
