Gravatar Wow! wow! is all I can say. But this kind of gibberish is nothing new to IE. Anything "Pak" is treated as holy and above criticism for these pseudo Indians. I incidentally stopped reading Malvika's article halfway because it is so full of shit. But you've done a good job of deconstructing it sooooooooo well. Hats off.

Gravatar U r a prolific writer .. i ve been follwing ur blog for smtime and all ur text have a classic language and above all the clarity of thought is amazing !!
Ur post reminds me of the outburst one of my Punjabi Hindu freinds did when we were discussing the massacre of Sikhs in '84.
But truly speaking the elite like Malvika are the prime reson why we are running a dozen buses to and buying expensive electricity from a country protecting ourselves against whom costs us a fortune.
In my opinion today India is strong enough that if it would pass sanctions against Pak (the sanctions i m sure will be copied by many nations) can force that country to STOP the terrorism here...
BUT unfortunately there are few who want a solution - most blabber rhetoric on the issue

Gravatar English media in India apparently have more journalists who write crap, than serious articles written with objective analysis.

Gravatar Sandeep, someone needs to say that the emperor is really naked.. How about starting a blog that comments on these comentators from a hindu perspective ?..

Gravatar Thanks Nikhil, usually what I write is just stuff from my personal life, but Malvika Antoinette riled me enough just this once :-D

Gravatar Praveen, you can not be more right, I think.

Gravatar hear, hear!

so all you needed was to be provoked enough...good post.

Gravatar >> so all you needed was to be provoked enough

ya !!! :-D most of the times I am a Sadhu B-)

Gravatar >>How about starting a blog that comments on these comentators
Hmm... I think I try to do this on my blog quite often. But you or other like minded folks can always guest-blog on my blog and show these folks for what they're worth.

Gravatar "Sandeep, someone needs to say that the emperor is really naked.. How about starting a blog that comments on these comentators from a hindu perspective ?.."

Eh uspeed.. how about commenting from an *indian* perspective?

Gravatar i think vivek has a point ... i don't think there is anything called a hindu perspective .. if u start making 'hindu' blog u r just creating a -ve equivalent of the likes of Malvika ...
One needs an unbaised and objective perspective to things

Gravatar Nikhil, Vivek,

Since 85% of Indian population is Hindu, it is axiomatic that anything that advances the condition of Hindus is not anti-Indian. I dont consider my hindu identity to be in conflict with a larger Indian identity. As long as I dont deny others their rights, I am within my rights to pursue a course of action that shall uplift the condition of my community. A second observation is that the Hindu way of life is under severe pressures from different sources. If one can perceive this, the need for an articulate, sophisticated and nuanced Hindu perspective on current affairs becomes compelling.

I am not averse to starting a blog that comments on these commentators from an Indian perspective, but I think I will end up saying much the same things. But if I have good company, Ill do that too

I know you are not supposed to comment on controversial writings, but I dont think you'll find anything exceptionable in what I wrote in this post. Most of the victims of terrorist strikes in Delhi have been Hindus. You'll never have a bomb going off around Jama Masjid. And the hurt and anger of these people has been completely sidelined by Ms Singh, which is what I wanted to point out. Not saying that out aloud, or whitewashing the fact that most of Pakistani terror attacks are planned to kill Hindus is just hypocrisy at best, lying at worst.

Gravatar >> One needs an unbaised and objective perspective to things

arent you are assuming that a Hindu perspective means a biased and not objective perspective ?

Gravatar Sudeep,

Just came across your blog and this entry. My comment, though a bit delayed, echoes your sentiments on this matter. I have written this a long time back to someone in a egroup, but I guess it would be a good addition, as your blog entry shows up as the first search result on Malvika Singh!

----
Journalists of this nature incense and infuriate me (my blood is at its steaming point) and hence this response.

Give me one good reason Pakistanis should be angry with Indians? Do we send terrorists to Pak to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people? No. Do we try to occupy their country/territory by any means? No. Do we instigate communal riots? No. Do we have a large network of our agents embedded in Pak who are capable of doing harm of an unimaginable magnitude when commanded? No. Do we have terrorist shelters in Pak in the name of religion (like the madrasas In India) which harbor these agents? No. Do we portray Pak as enemy#1 in our textbooks and indoctrinate an extreme unbounded antipathy towards Pak and that itself as a national goal? No. I can come up with lots of questions like this and any fool will be able to search and find statistics that prove my point beyond a shadow of doubt.

The pakistanis have no reason to be angry with us. Simply because we do nothing to harm them.

On the other hand, the average Indian citizen has faced one or more of the above and has a good reason to be angry.

The problem with India is that the average Indian citizen accepts inane, idiotic dolts (of the highest degree) like Malvika Singh writing such utter nonsense. It is high time that we put an end to these fools (a euphemism, as my vocabulary is challenged to describe these fiends in human form) and face the reality.

Regards,
Bharat.

Postscript: Please note that Mavika conveniently ignored that the first ever attack (on Kapil Dev, sometime in the late 80s, i think) on a visting team by the people was in Pak. (am not sure about this as I dont follow that game - if someone could clarify, I'd appreciate it)
