Gravatar Having cable, I don't need yet one more temptation. I watch too much tv as it is. The film sounds wonderful.

Gravatar Living in the middle ages of Network TV - yikes! 6 channels of drivel - save for the occasional PBS special - makes me feel like a Carthusian. But I can imagine the wild parrots have fallen in love with Mr Bittner as well. Beautiful!

Gravatar Fight the power guys...save yourselves...it's too late for me!

I did the broadcast thing for many years, then moved to cable, and then finally to TiVo. My hope is that I will actually watch less bad TV, and more good TV by being selective.

We'll see...

Yep, the story of Mark and his parrots is beautiful. It reminds me that we, in our brief moments on earth, miss too many chances to love. Mark and his birds, quite be accident, took a chance and extended themselves beyond conventional boundries. Was it the best idea eccologically? Probably not. Was it the best use of a near homeless man's time and energy? Maybe not, but through it...through this offering of himself, he found a vocation (and a wife!). There is a lesson for me in that.

Grace and Peace,
Joe
