Joes isn't this a way of saying the Church doesn't teach lay people to think and act like adults? And doesn't that have something to do with the hierarchy trying to retain their own power and status quo? (Present company excepted of course!)

Hmmm, well that's one way of looking at it Davis! There is certainly is an air of self preservation in the Church these days, particularily among those with "position."
Yes adults, but more importantly, Christian adults...adults who love becuase they were first loved, and who forgive becasue they are forgiven.
After all, since I am quoting old songs..."They will know we are Christians by our love" right?

Ya know ? As far as I'm concerned, anyone who gives a kid the stink-eye during worship (esp. if they're just being kids), is really missing the whole point of worship
