"Netiquette" is about the worst word I've ever heard. I'm with the ones who get irritated by that.
I heard a presentation about folksonomy at SXSW, and the benefits are undeniable. I love tags. However, most clients I have are horribly repulsed by the use of Tags on their site and the word (folksonomy) just helps seal the deal. We have to program in exceptions that hide Tags in our software.
