Is the Minus 5 song related to the song of the same name by Steel Pole Bath Tub?
Superb post, by the way.

Ah, and I had been looking for a song about Myrna Loy, who's one of my all-time faves.
Just realized that while i deleted a section of the post about John Wayne, his track's still there. It's a 1969 single by the Upsetters, & can be found here:

I discovered Dory Previn a couple years ago, and try to turn everyone on to her via "Beware of Young Girls," extra-hooking with the story about Mia Farrow. I didn't know the pure karma you allude to. UNBELIEVABLE.
"Starlet Starlet On The Screen" has instantly become my favorite Dory Previn song. Thank you so much. I will complete my collection immediately to make sure I'm not missing other tracks like this one. It may be the only song with the word "f*ck" which could be played on the radio unedited.

Great Stuff. You give the Internet a good name. You remind me of a scintist who once said that he just did not have time to investigate what interested him the most, but what he was compelled by reality to devote his time to. I love the archive of music/ film connections you have begun. Bravo!
