Well, I was just trying to leave a message that was a little different because I truly treasure your blog - and you are the one who turned me on to Nora Bayes in the first place. :D
So I'll make sure to stay bland in the future, but thanks for "hooking me up" one more time. Hopefully it didn't ruin the flow of your essay too much. I thought it was great anyway.

Actually my previous comment was written with more humor and less petulance than it reads. As I re-reread it now, I'm a trifle horrified. There's a difference in proofreading vs. reading for content; a lesson I should have learned by now. My intentions certainly didn't translate well to the written page. My apologies.
I truly had never heard or Ms. Bayes until Locust St., and I've collected a few other tunes since. Finding something new that knocks me out is always such a great pleasure. So thank you muchly, again.
(I'm glad I came back to relisten to the 1919 songs and reread the essay).
