So I recently stumbled across your blog and I must say, wow you are teh shit. I am right now doing my year abroad in Japan and well... I'll just cut to the chase.
I am out in the middle of fucking nowhere in Shiga-ken; Hikone if you want to know. There aren't any real big clubs around here and my living quarters at the Japan Center for Michigan Universes isn't exactly the ideal place to bring a girl back to.
My questions are as follows, 1.) given my limited area, where is a good place to start meeting girls? should I just head down to Kyoto? And 2.) since I don't really have a good place of my own (just two bed rooms and a shared kitchen with sliding traditional style japanese doors) should I steer for a love hotel?

Hey, how did you get a job hosting anyway? Are there any places that are more likely to hire Americans? I realize it can't be as easy/glamorous as it seems initially all the time.
