I know! Surely EVERYONE knows what a Tyrannosaurus looks like, even if they don't know that the large skeleton in the main hall of the NHM is Diplodocus.

How is it no-one saw this and went "oh crap!" before it reached the presses? It must be endemic ignorance down there at Metro.

....and how is it I wrote "endemic" (which is clearly wrong)for no apparent reason when I meant "systemic" and no-one on my own team of proof readers corrected me before I hit publish?

It's a fossil. It has teeth. It's big. It's a dinosaur. To everyone EXCEPT palaeonerds, pre-pubescent boys, and actual palaeontologists, that makes it a T-rex. Unless, of course, it's a Tarborosaurid.

lol. Always makes me laugh, the mistakes in free papers. I sent in a photo to 'the LOndon paper' (the evening version of the metro) of the herons in regents park all lined up along the bank in Regents park - and they put a caption saying "the herons line up, ready to dive in one by one" with my name labelling the photo - so now anyone who knows about birds thinks IM a numpty! lol
