This is excellent news. As I have said several times, I would love to have a working coalition between the Libs and the NDP. Let's face it: between now and February, there is very little chance that the NDP can win enough votes to even form a minority government, but with the lead of the Libs over everyone else, and the Conservatives falling further and further behind (thank God!!!!), the best scenario, for progressive Canadians, would be a coalition between Libs and Dippers (at least, on certain sets of issues).

Harper has too much momentum going the wrong way for a BBQ summer to fix, I think.
He needs a catalyst.
Not that I want him to find one, but that's what he needs.

Don't get your hopes up guys and gals. You know that this survey was funded by the Librano party and the left-wing media yada yada yada. It's just more communist propaganda.
Did I miss anything?

CO: Agreed that it's a plus if the Libs and NDP can work together on some issues for the time being, but the bigger long-term gain would be for the NDP to replace the Cons as the most viable alternative to the Liberals. For that to happen the NDP has to win enough seats to be a true opposition rather than a junior coalition partner.
Mark: Agreed to some extent, though given his talent for judging catalysts (I'm sure Grewal will pay off any day now) I'm not sure we have too much to worry about.

Brad:
Allyou have to do is just read the trackback to this blog posting to a presumedly Alberta-based Conservative blogger. His commentary isnt too far off from what has been written here in jest.
