This is a real shame, not just because Edwards was the most progressive candidate of the last remaining three, but because he polled as being the one most likely to beat any likely Republican opponent. When the Democrats won't even present a clear choice to the electorate when it is politically expedient to do so, what does that say about their centrist leadership? Nothing good, if you ask me.
