here's an interesting idea: to get what He wants in life you need to be a servant. If you are a servant, you inevitably end up getting screwed by people who have no problems being bossy (but should that matter?). if He wants something, you should be prepared to be accommodating, unselfish, and open-minded - that's the best way to accomplish His goal for your life. If you're too proud, inflexible, and stubborn, you'll end up with the short end of the stick and be asking your self what you were saved from in the first place.

In the world and not of it (John 17:14-16), what mindset should we take on?

One other thing, in some places/gatherings/churches, open mike is a norm and I have seen the Spirit guide all those that spoke in a wonderful way. Rather than blaming the tools/method, should we not be looking at the hearts and motives? Why is it a blessing in some places and a bore in others?

In a Church, "Let all things be done for edification."(1 Cor 14:26c)
