Jim, I agree that Pat has all the political grace of a bull elephant in the proverbial china shop. What I don't agree with is the idea we shouldn't have the ability to do covert operations. My big dissapointment in all this is that he went public with something that should have been done behind closed doors.

So, Pat, I think you have the right ideas, I don't doubt your position in Christ. Just think a little before yo speak.

When you imply that political assassination should be a viable option in our foreign policy, do you speak primarily as a Christian or primarily as an American? Or does pragmatism somehow trump the ethical traditions of both?
Also, seeing as how you weren't bothered so much by the content of what Pat said as you were by the forum in which he chose to say it, I'd be curious to know what you would point to in Jesus' ministry that allows you to say that, by advocating murder, Pat has the right ideas and has an unimpeachable position in Christ.
I don't ask pointed questions because I'm hoping to incite you. I ask pointed questions because I'm truly puzzled as to how Pat's words as a man of God are defensible.

Mr. Robertson wasn't suggesting a covert operation. He was suggesting a politically motivated murder, plain and simple. Spin it however the hell you want. It's ridiculous and so is he.
