your drop of serotoninrain...

Gravatar When I was about 13 years old, I read "Little Women" ( and have re-read it many many times). I remember the rush of feeling and the ephiphany of the moment, when with tears sliding down my cheek and the sudden inability to swallow, I truly understood the power of a good book.

The passage in "Little Women" that evoked that strong emotion and will forever be an important memory was in Chapter 40 - The Valley of the Shadow. Was there ever a more angelic character than Beth March?

At the recommendation of Elisson, I am planning on reading "Cloud Atlas" next, but I will surely now have to add "Plainsong". Thanks!

Gravatar I've added Plainsong to my Amazon Wish List, based on your recommendation. (Can you take the pressure?)

Gravatar i'm intrigued.

Gravatar I'm not sure I can take the pressure, no. I hope you like it and if you don't well... you wouldn't hit a man with tears in his eyes, would you?
