your drop of serotoninrain...

Gravatar OH, I'm doing this. Can it get it done b/f hubby gets out of the shower and my free time is over?

Gravatar I've refrained from doing this meme for fear of what my answers might reveal. But I think you did a nice job. As someone who struggles with getting things done "under budget," that impresses me! And I wonder, why do you regret not getting an MFA instead of the MBA? The best answer though (imho) is "I am not always, nor do I want to be." Very clever.

Gravatar I wish I had the foresight when I was in college to realize that business was a convenient choice and not a choice based on what I really wanted to do. I would have immediately gone for an MFA in creative fiction or non fiction and maybe got the MBA later if necessary.

Oh well, you know what they say about hindsight.

Gravatar I actually love brussels sprouts. And my major malfunction? Ha! Pretty evident.

But there is hope: I loathe parsnips.

Gravatar oh jim, you crack me up... so your trip out west, solo eh? want to enjoy it without a van full of adolescents? nice call.

Gravatar Searchie,

You're okay then.

Ash-bo,

I always enjoyed my trips west with vans full of adolescents. It was the supposed adults that drove me crazy! (I'm kidding about that, of course).

Call it a sojourn. I've always had a westering heart.

Gravatar For you, Jim, just about anything is "West." How far to you wish to venture?

Gravatar I dunno... Harrisburg, maybe Pittsburgh.

Gravatar Don't venture out too far West, now.

Gravatar Just kidding.

I have some very good friends in Kansas City that I haven't seen for years. And some relatively new virtual friends in Texas, too.

I love the Rockies and the northern plains. But there's no way I could cover all of that ground in just two weeks, so I'd have to pick and choose.

Gravatar Too bad about having friends in Kansas City. It's a great place to live, not such a great place to visit (imho). But the Rockies and northern plains (I'm assuming Bad Lands and Montana region?) are beautiful! Maybe you could pick up your KC friends on the way to the Rockies and the Texans can meet you there.

Gravatar I actually love KC... which is where you are, right? That's because of those friends of mine, all of whom I met through our leadership of a week long church camp for middle school kids near Parkville. At the time, they all attended Gashland Presbyterian Church (do you know it?) on N. Oak Trafficway... some of them still do, in fact. And there's the Smokehouse BBQ too... can't forget that.

Gravatar Wow! Small world. Yep, I'm here. And it's the people that make it so great. Parkville is a lovely old town (well, except that my dad's office was there when it flooded in 1993). I like Weston also, which is nearby. And yes, I'm familiar with that church (but have not personally attended) and N. Oak Tfwy, and Smokehouse BBQ, of course! We've got great BBQ here, no complaints about that! Hope you can make the trip sometime. It would be nice to hook up with old friends.

Gravatar Ash and I spent some time watching the S.D trip video ... wish we could do one of those trips out west with you again now that we're a little older. The ending of that video is still as great as the first time we watched it.

Gravatar Was that the 2000 video? I'm going to have to watch that one again. I do pull those out sometimes, but it's been quite a while since the last stroll down that particular memory lane.

Gravatar Oh, and that was Jim, not Joy, who left the previous comment.

Gravatar it was 2001. 2000 was TSTL ... unfortunately, that video has gone missing in the kurz household. it's hilarious to note all of ashley's mean, sarcastic comments on the SD video. she'll be the first to point them out ...
