I wonder how do companies like qtags get into blogs that everyone read? Probably there are some blog-promotion services? I’ve got no ideas. Probably someone have?

It sounds like a cliche, but the key is to "participate in the conversation."
By reading other blogs, linking to other blogs and providing smart commentary on other blogs, you build awareness of your blog.
