Gravatar History has a horrible way of repeating itself. Those who say that we should look forward to tomorrow should also remember the successes from yesterday as well as the mistakes from the past.

So why fire the PR firm and set up a load of blogs when you could do both?

Like any recipe, sometimes the ingredients change to get the right mix.

Gravatar Piaras:

I don't disagree ... the question is, are firms today able to willing to recommend and carry out different types of communications activities?

Especially those that don't fall under the label of traditional activities??

Gravatar Excellent post.

Is it Monday yet?

Gravatar >>What would happen if you went to work >>Monday morning and realized that your >>clients' mindsets had changed over the >>weekend?

Wouldn't that be lovely? But it won't happen, it'll be long, slow, and hard, hard work and it won't be revolutionary, it'll be anyting but - except in retrospect when we look back in a couple of decades

Gravatar Trevor:

Excellent point ... but it will happen more quickly if PR/marketing firms are ready to lead the way, would you agree?

Gravatar It's going to be the same old story in that a couple of firms will move to take advantage of this trend, profit from it and then the rest will follow.

It might not be the best solution for the market, but that's economics for you.
