Regarding blogging policies, Meg Spohn has a good comment to a post by BusinessWeek's Stephen Baker about Spohn being fired by DeVry U. due to some of her blog posts.

I think there needs to be a wider debate on employee professionalism rather than just a blogging policy. More and more instances of employees leaving a trail that results in a degraded perception of the organisation they work for are appearing, whether it's an inappropriate voicemail or comment left on someone's blog.
