Gravatar Hey, stick to your knitting Wagner! Tee solution is big media buys to grind a catchy slogan into people's minds one repetition at a time. That's always the solution, no matter what your problem is.

Enough with this "unreachable" crap, or the Ad Boys will come around and break your legs.

Gravatar Eric, what's interesting about this concept is that it WOULD take a big media buy to reach these folks.

Since they are so splintered media-wise, if you are selling a general market product -- a car, a soda, etc. -- how else can you find them? You've got to hit a lot of different outlets -- spending a lot of money -- to capture their attention.

Gravatar True John, it's still a very tech-orientated market at the moment. But that's changing all the time - little by little.

You've got to consider that these technologies are still emerging. And who picks up on these first? The techies. My opinion is that it will continue to filter into the mainstream.

Also, regarding the teenagers, you've got to remember that teenagers grow into consumers. These are the group that were brought up with the Internet - they know no difference.

Take a look at the MySpace community. 60+ million and growing. I have no doubt that a large majority of these will continue to have an online social life once they grow out of MySpace.

My 2p worth

Gravatar Stephen:

I agree that they these folks will have an online social life. But will they care about using that technology for anything other than personal information sharing?
