Gravatar You're right...it bugs me that we in the USA try to adhere so closely to rules that no one else seems to follow. I guess that makes us an upstanding society, but sometimes I'd like to beat the everlovin' crap out of a terrorist.


Gravatar I know what you mean. I like that we hold ourselves to a higher standard, I do think that we need to consider whether that standard is helpful or hurtful.

I don't know that our higher standards hurt our soldiers, but I do know that it doesn't always help.

In the case of LtC Allen we know that had he not done what he did, more American lives would have been lost.
