Communication Overtones Comments

Kami, it was great getting to know you better over lunch. And the 1886's house specialty soup (cheese) was to die for - you should try it next time. Might even rival that luscious-looking lemon chiffon creation you had for dessert!
My only regret? I didn't snap a photo - I keep forgetting that my new cell phone has a digital camera. Duh! Well, that simply means we've got to get together again.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Connie at the Dallas Social Media Club launch - she came from Austin! You are right, there is an energy that cannot be captured except for in-person.

What a great point! Social media connects people and allows an immediate flow of communication that may not otherwise take place. Thank you for reminding us that computers mediate our personal conversations- we are creating relationships with people, not machines. Face to face interactions will always be the most valuable to us. Social media facilitates those meaningful connections.
