Communication Overtones Comments

Gravatar I think a "most overused and least understood" list would be more interesting.

But, at the end of the day, we just have to take it one day at a time and continue to move forward.

Mike

Gravatar I vote for "Trackback".

Gravatar Buzz

As in "what can we do to generate some buzz about this product?"

Gravatar Buzz likes Buzz. As in my blog.

Gravatar I think we all have our favorites that we can't live without. I am pretty fond of social networking, for one.

But hey, as Mike says, we "have to take it one day at a time and continue to move forward."

Gravatar Anyone that drops a vowel in their name to seem more web 2.0. Flickr's excluded from this of course.

Gravatar So, does that mean that the rumors of Kevin changing his name to Kevn Dugn are false?
Mike

Gravatar I'd cast my vote for companies adding a «2.0» to the company's name, ie. a shift from «Company» to «Company 2.0».

I've seen just that quite a few times recently, in Power Point presentations and what have you...

Gravatar Kevin; We all know that vowel thing is because the good domain names were takn.

Mike; And you could be MikeDri, who needs all those other letters?

Hans; 2.0 is so yesterday What, are we all software developers?

Gravatar "I think we all have our favourites that we can't live without".

Mine's "BBC bias". We can all do without that.

Gravatar Jeremy; How clever of you.

Gravatar What about "blogoneer"? It even sounds wrong.

Gravatar Colin; Eeewww, that is horrible!

Gravatar I always hated the word blog, just sounds gross. Vlog isn't any better.

Gravatar Sara; It is obvious that computer geeks came up with these words Now we PR and Marketing hacks can only complain about it, and try to "spin" our way out of bad vocabulary.
